The Government of Andhra Pradesh has started a Help Line Number – 1253 for helping Senior Citizens under the scheme ‘Aasara’. Senior Citizens, who are in need of any help an call 1253 now. This is an exclusive helpline number introduced for the welfare of senior citizens in the state of Andhra Pradesh. All the senior citizens can make use of this facility.
Aasara Kendram (Shelter) has been inaguarated in Vijayawada by Minister for Secondary Education, K. Parthasarathy. The Kendram was locates at the premises of CVR High School in Governorpet, Vijayawada. The main objective of these Aasara shelters is to address the needs of senior citizens and giving a helping hand to those who are in need of help. These Kendras will take care of those uncared by their families.
Aasara Kendras will provide nutritious food to Senior Citizens and also offer medical and health facilities for free of cost. A primary health center will also be attached to every Aasara Kendram to give medical facilities to the members of Aasara Kendram. A dedicated doctor along with two ANMs will be appointed at Primary Health Centers for the health care of senior citizens.
pl indicate in the web page regarding hospitals were we get concessions for our treatment as an out patient or in patient. As hospitalas are not honoring the senior citizen card which we got.
