AP New Capital – Amaravathi, Tadikonda, Achampet Regions

If the media reports are to be believed, the new government in Andhra Pradesh may go for development of Amaravathi, Tadikonda and Achampet mandals as new capital region for the state.

The Krishna river is separating the Guntur and Krishna districts. The government is believed to be planning to construct huge bridges connecting Guntur and Vijayawada to the proposed new capital at Amaravathi, Tadikonda and Achampet mandals.

It is reported that huge chunks of government lands are available in these three mandals. The availability and pricing of private lands also will be easier here comparing to Guntur, vijayawada and Mangalagiri regions.

  1. Why so much land to be grabbed from farmers. All the MLAs and Ministers can be accommodated in highrise buildings which would help in minimising the requirement of land and security personnel.
