Congress says Sorry for AP division – Anybody listening

The Congress Party has expressed regrets for the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. The Party AICC Secretary and Incharge of AP Youth Congress, Suraj Hegde has said ‘sorry’ for the division of Andhra Pradesh into AP and Telangana states and urged the youth of AP to support the party in future. But the question is can the Congress still hope for a revival and greater role in AP politics?

The division of Andhra Pradesh has been carried out single handed by the Congress party. The political mileage Congress Party has expected through the division of AP has not been realised in the General Elections 2014. The AP voters have rejected the Congress out-rightly.

The Congress party has lost the sympathy in Telangana as well and set for the role of opposition. Shocked with the loss of power and rout in General Elections at the Center and AP and Telangana, the congress is almost clueless on rejuvenating the party.

The congress party is almost deadwood in Andhra Pradesh and struggling to find a leader in Telangana who can unite the party first and attract the masses later. In the worst scenario, the Congress is not in a position to claim the statehood for Telangana.
