The election commission of India has announced election schedule 2014 for Andhra Pradesh. The elections to Lok Sabha and Assembly elections will be held in April and May 2014. Following is the Lok Sabha election schedule for Andhra Pradesh / Seemandhra region:
1) Issue of election notification: 12 April
2) Last date for the filing of nominations: 19th April
3) Scrutiny of nominations: 21 April 2014
4) Withdrawal of nominations: 23 April
5) Polling date: 7 May
6) Counting of votes and results: 16 May 2014
The elections in Telangana region will be held on 30th April 2014. Counting of votes will held on the same day for both the states / regions.
It is going to be a tough fight between the TDP and YSRCP in Andhra Pradesh / Seemandhra. The CNN – IBN and CSDS poll suggests neck and neck contest between these parties in the Seemandhra region.
