Gujarat Elections 2012 – Voters and EPIC Cards Statistics

Following are statistics related to voters and EPIC cards in Gujarat, which is going for election in November 2012. About 3,76,00,590 (99.43 percent) registered voters in Gujarat have Election Photo Identity Cards (EPICs). Out of these 3,75,05,731 (99.18 percent) voters photo images have been included in the voters list. Following are details of the Election Commission regarding voters in various age groups of the state.

1) Total Registered voters: 3,78,15,306
2) Male Voters: 1,97,98,012
3) Female Voters in Gujarat: 1,80,17,125
3) 'Other' category voters: 169
4) Voters in the age group of 18-19 years: 12,87,217
5) Voters in the age group of 20 -29 years: 99,56,234
6) Voters in the age group of 30-39 years: 93,33,981
7) Voters in age group of 40-49 years. 74,04,837
8) Voters in 50-59 years age group: 50,58,725
9) Voters in the age group of 60-69 years.
10) Voters in 70-79 age group: 14,48,174
11) Voters with the age of 80 and more years: 4,27,539
12) Total polling stations: 44,496 polling stations with 27,049 polling booths.
13) Implementation of Model Code of Conduct: From October 3, 2012.
