68 member Himachal Pradesh (HP) will for Assembly elections on 4th November 2012. Counting of votes in Himachal Pradesh will take place on 20th December 2012. Following are dates of poll notification, filing nominations, counting and results.
1) Date of Election Notification for HP Assembly: 10th October 2012.
2) Last date of filing nominationsL 17th October 2102.
There will be 7252 polling stations in a single phase election. Himachal Pradehs has 45.16 lakh voters.
About 23000 central and state police personnel will guard the election process in Himachal Pradesh. Himachal Pradesh has 17 seats reserved for SCs and 3 seats for STs.
