If you have any doubts on the quantity of gas cylinder (LPG) you are using, here is a way to know that. You can lodge a complaint with Legal Metrology Department if you find any irregularities in the weight of the cylinder.
Domestic Cylinders:
1) Domestic Cylinders have their tare (empty) weight printed on them.
2) Gas agencies should fill it with 14.2 kg LPG
3) Gross weight is arrived at by adding tare weight and the 14.2 kg LPG.
Commercial Cylinders:
Commercial cylinders must invariably bear declarations like date of packing, price to be paid, manufacturer details and net quantity in kgs.
