The TDP has dominated the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections 2014 in Krishna district. Both the Lok Sabha seats, Vijayawada (Kesineni Nani) and Machilipatnam (K Narayana) won by TDP candidates. It also retained majority of Assembly seats and YSRCP is in second place in terms of number of Assembly seats.
