London Olympics Live Steaming on You Tube, NBC Olympics – iPhone and iPad apps

28th July 2012: For the first time, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has made arrangements to live stream 11 high-definition channels simultaneously over You Tube. You can see the live stream on http://www.youtube.com/user/olympic . NBC Olympic live stream is available at www.nbcolympics.com/liveextra/ . The You Tube live stream is available for 64 territories in Asia and Africa. You do not need to have broadcast deals to avail these live streams of London Olympics. But these live streams are available for those specified countries only and can not be accessed by other countries. NBC Olympics has created two official apps for Android and Apple mobile devices considering the requirements of US viewers. These are NBC Olympics and NBC Olympics Live Extra. The can be downloaded free of cost. NBC Olympics has plenty of contest without live video. But you will really enjoy it by viewing news, results, video highlights, and the Twitter heat map.

NBC Olympics Live Extra app is a mobile version. This requires a cable, satellite or telco subscription. This is the LiveExtra online service of NBC Olympics. You can view any event live and watch replays of the missed games. You can also check medal ceremonies and alternative camera views. To view the NBC Olympics on iPhones, iPads or other mobile devices, you need to go to the mobile version of the website at m.nbcolympics.com.
