The proposed online marriage registrations system will do away with the need of applicants visiting sub-registrar offices and submit their respective application forms. Applicants should fill all the mandatory details online. They should also upload photographs. After that the sub registrar office will allot a time slot regarding their visit to the office. In order to avoid any kind of future misgivings, the department is making physical appearance by the bride and the groom mandatory. They should appear before the sub-registrar concerned for receiving the certificate. There will be no exemptions on this aspect.
