Basavaraju Sarayya is a three term MLA from Warangal East Assembly Constituency, Andhra Pradesh. Presently he is serving as Minister for B.C. Welfare in the cabinet of N. Kiran Kumar Reddy. He is representing the Congress Party. Saraiah belongs to washer-man community and has the distinction of being the only Cabinet Minister in South India from his community.
