Profile of Chitturi Bapineedu – Tanuku Constituency

Chitturi Bapineedu belongs to West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh and served as an MLA of the Congress Party. He served as an MLA of Tanuku for the first term during 2004 – 2009. West Godavari is politically highly important district for all political parties. Telugu Desam Party lost its sheen in the district during the last two Assembly elections and the Congress Party has been dominating the scene. Chitturi Bapineedu won from Tanuku during 2004 Assembly elections. Bapineedu was denied Congress ticket in 2009 elections. Karumuri Venkata Nageswara Rao, former Chairperson of the West Godavari Zilla Parishad has won from the Tanuku Constituency in 2009 elections. Bapineedu’s father is Ch. Indrayya and he belongs to General category. Bapineedu’s address is D.No. 17-84, Raj Bhavan, 10th Ward, Tanuku, West Godavari District. He was born on 4th May 1937. He studied LAE and settled as an industrialist. He was elected 0nly once to the AP Assembly.

He was married to Smt. Vijaya Lakshmi and they have one son and two daughters. He is known for his services to the old age people. He is an active participant and member of Lions Club activities. Bapineedu travelled to USA, erstwhile USSR, Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong. Bapineedu also contested from Tanuku constituency during 1989 Assembly elections but lost to his TDP rival.
