A Govinda Naik is a political leader from Khanapur Assembly Constituency of Adilabad district in Andhra Pradesh. He was elected to AP Assembly thrice from the Khanapur constituency. He is a senior leader of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS). He won from the constituency in 2004 elections. In 2009 elections, the seat was allotted to TDP as part of the seat sharing agreement between the then Mahakutami parties.
The TDP candidate Suman Rathod won from Khanapur in 2009 elections. The Andhra Pradesh high court recently declared that the election of Suman Rathod is invalid on the grounds of her ST status.
