Magunta Parvathamma is a former MLA of the Congress Party from Kavali Assembly constituency in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh. She is wife of former MP from Ongole and noted industrialist late Magunta Subbarami Reddy. Parvathamma contested and won from Kavali constituency in 2004 Assembly Elections.
The Congress high command has fielded Magunta Parvathamma in the by elections to Ongole Assembly Constituency held on 12th June 2012. The counting and results of the by polls will be released on 15th June 2012. She has faced tough competition from Balineni Srinivasa Reddy of the YSR Congress Party. The Congress, YSRCP and the TDP are expecting results in their favour.
