Makkena Mallikarjuna Rao is a former MLA from Vinukonda Assembly Constituency of Guntur District in Andhra Pradesh. He represented the Congress Party and contested from Vinukonda Constituency. He won the seat in 2004 Assembly elections by defeating G.V.S. Susheela of Telugu Desam Party. In 2009 elections, Makkena Mallikarjuna Rao did not get the Congress ticket. GVSR Anjaneyulu of TDP won the seat in 2009 elections by defeating Ch. Narendranath of the Congress Party. Makkena Mallikharjuna Rao studied B.A. and chosen agriculture as his profession. He was elected as an MLA for the first time in 2004 elections. He was married to Smt.     was not defeated by g. anjaneyulu.. in 2009 elections ..
    actually makkena did not contest in the election…
    the congress party ticket was given to the mr. chebrolu narendranadh. s/o chebrolu hanumaiah .. who was the former minister….

    g.v.s anjenailu defeated the narendranadh in 2009 elections….
