Dr. Mediyam Babu Rao is a leader of the CPI from Khammam district of Andhra Pradesh. He served as an MP from Bhadrachalam Lok Sabha Constituency during 2004-09. Baburao’s parents are Lakshmaiah and Smt. Seethamma. He was born on 10-07-1951 at Pedanallilballi in Khammam district of Andhra Pradesh.
Baburao was married to Smt. Gowthami on 07th September 1980 and they have two sons and a daughter. He studied MBBS in Kurnool Medical College, Kurnool and in the medical profession. His permanent address is at H.No. 23.10.12 Municipal Colony, Rajahmundry, East Godavari district.
Babu Rao was elected to Lok Sabha in 2004 Parliament elections. He was a member in the Committees on Health and Family Welfare, Social Justice and Empowerment. The CPI is likely to field him to Assembly elections in 2014 elections. But the decision on constituency depends on various factors as the party has to make up its mind on tie ups in the elections.
