Profile of Tirupati MP – Dr Chinta Mohan

Dr. Chinta Mohan is a former central minister and presently representing Tirupati Lok Sabha Constituency of Chittoor district. He is a senior leader of the Congress Party from Andhra Pradesh. His parents are Narayana and Smt. Subbamma. He born on 19-11-1954 at Tirupati, Chittoor district. He married to Smt. Revathi and they have a daughter and a son. Chinta Mohan studied MBBS at Sri Venkateswara Medical College, Tirupati and a Medical Practitioner. He belongs to SC category and interested in Social Work. His permanent address is at Ramachandra Nagar, Tirupati.

Dr. Chinta Mohan elected to Parliament for 6 terms from Tirupati Lok Sabha Constituency. He was first elected to 8th Lok Sabha in 1984 and re-elected in 1989, 1991, 1998, 2004 and 2009. He served as Union Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilizers (with Independent Charge). He served as a member of Committees on Labour, Social Justice and Empowerment, Finance, Railways, Commerce, MPLADS and Communications.
