Revised Congress Strategy on Telangana Bill 2013

Following are the options before the Congress party to fulfill it’s Telangana promise and get through The AP Reorganisation Bill 2013:

The Bill has to be cleared in AP Assembly with the majority support. For this the Party has taken enough time through the President. The Congress will persuade the Rayalaseema MLAs to support the Bill through keeping the option of Rayala Telangana open.

The Cabinet, Home Ministry and GoM members have already sent hints that the final bill will be prepared after considering the AP Assembly opinion. By pushing the Rayalaseema MLAs for demaning Rayala Telangana, the Congress will manage the Bill to be passed in Assembly. The Bill may go to the Union Home Ministry with a demand for Rayala Telangana.

Again the Congress in all likelihood will reject the proposal as there is no demand from the gound level for Rayala Telangana. The Congress may stick to the 10 district Telangana as it is proposed in the Dratf Bill.

The Congress may also have the option of imposing President Rule if the Chief Minister creates any constitutional crisis. Then the party may get the credit of imposing President Rule in her own ruling state in order to fulfil the election promise.
