Separate High Court for AP in Amaravati from 2nd June 2018

The Government of India is planning to divide the existing high court at Hyderabad for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States by 2nd June 2018. The Center has agreed in principle to set up separate High Courts as promulgated in AP Reorganisation Act 2014.

The separate High Courts for AP and Telangana will be ready by 2nd June 2018. The TRS Party has been protesting for the division of existing High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad for AP and Telangana, an interim set up till the formation of separate of High Court for AP.

Government of AP also keen on setting up its own High Court in Amaravati. The President of India will issue an official notification for the division of High Court. The Chief Justice of Hyderabad High Court will take steps for setting up of two High Courts.

The Government of AP has set up a judges committee to find a suitable place for the High Court buildings. The buildings will be renovated by the end of April 2018 and the relocation of High Court will be completed by 2nd June 2018.
