The Communist Party of India (CPI) and Community Party of India - Marxist (CPM), the two major Left parties in Karnataka have announced candidates for the ensuing Assembly polls in Karnataka. Both the parties have forged an alliance.
The CPI and the CPI_M have decided to fight against both Congress and the BJP in the Vidhan Sabha elections.
Communist Party of India (CPI), as part of it's arrangement with CPI-M has decided to field it's candidates in 10 Assembly constituencies. The CPI National Politburo Member Siddanagouda Patil has released the list of candidates:
1. Nagabhushan : Bellary City Constituency
2. Swathi Sundaresh: Mudigere Constituency
3. Molakalnur Constituency: Papa Naik
4. Mulabagalu Constituency: Ambarish.
The CPI will also announced candidates for the Sandur, Kudligi, Sindanur, Chikamagalur, Bidar and Alanda constituencies in a few days.
