The Telugu Desam Party is gearing up to short list the candidates for the coming Assembly elections in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States. The TDP has already promised to allot 100 seats from both the states to BC candidates. We have to wait and watch to see the implementation of the promise.
On the other side, TDP is on full swing in Seemandhra region with the flow of MLAs and leaders from other parties. Many of the ministers, MLAs, MLCs and other local leaders from Congress party. are joining TDP for better fortunes in the coming elections.
Infighting in YSRCP may cost it dearly. The YSRCP popularity graph in Seemandhra seems to be slowly fading away slowly. TDP is also facing dissent in Visakha and Godavari districts.
TDP is also going to face challenges in terms of absorbing the flow of leaders from other parties. The infighting is likely to break out in various districts due to these inflows. Hence it may take some time to announce the candidates list for Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.
