It is almost certain that the political life of Chiranjeevi has come to an abrupt end. With the bifurcation of the state of Andhra Pradesh, the prospects of his political elevation will be grim.
Chiranjeevi lost the steam as politician after the merger of Praja Rajyam in Congress.
Only face saving for him to remain in politics is his Rajya Sabha seat. He can continue as Rajya Sabha member till completion of his term irrespective of the victory or defeat of the Congress in Lok Sabha and Assembly Elections 2014.
Chiranjeevi entered politics purely on caste consideration and nothing else. He had no preparation for launching a political party nor he consulted seasoned and mature politicians. Those who came near to him were set aside again by his coterie around him whose interest is to grow on his popularity and to serve to boost his ego. He succumbed to political pressures and dissolved Praja Rajyam and merged with the congress fooling everybody and leaving a permanent blot on his own community. It is a lesson to all film actors with fascination to start a political party in future.
