TTD increases Room Charges in Tirumala and Tirupati

TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams) has increased accomodation charges for various types of rooms in Tirupati and Tirumala. The hikes has been 6 percent with the introduction of GST. Following are the details of new charges for various types of rooms in Tirumala and Tirupati.

Tax has been increased from 12 percent to 18 percent after the implemention of GST. The Government of India has declined the request for exemption of TTD temples and services from GST.

There are 7400 rooms for accomodation of devotees in Tirumala and Tirupati. 86 percent of these rooms fall under Rs. 1000 and below rental category. There are 650 rooms with the rent of Rs. 1000 and above and the charges of these rooms has been hiked due to GST implementation. Following are the details of present charges and increased charges:

Rs. 1500 (old) – Rs. 1700 (new)
Rs. 2000 (old) – Rs. 2200 (new)
Rs. 2500 (old) – Rs. 3000 (new)
Rs. 3000 (old) – Rs. 3500 (new)
Rs. 3500 (old) – Rs. 4100 (new)
Rs. 4000 (old) – Rs. 4700 (new)
Rs. 4500 (old) – Rs. 5300 (new)
Rs. 6000 (old) – Rs. 7100 (new)
