Government of Rajasthan is on its way to implement Aadhaar Unique ID cards for the people of Rajasthan. The multi purpose UID scheme is being implemented in a phased manner in various cities and towns. The Aadhaar Cards project has been started in Jodhpur. First cards was issued to Police Commissioner of Jodhpur, Bhupinder Kumar Dak. The authorities have taken 10 fingerprints from both hands and both irides (retinae) of Dak and they were scanned before issuing Aadhaar card to him.
Sadawat Consultancy is implementing the Aadhaar Project in Jodhpur region as the contract was won by the firm to issue UID cards in Jodhpur. The Govt. of Rajasthan is thinking of taking Aadhaar Cards as a ID proof at the time of school and colleges admissions and also for employment opportunities along with a proof of citizenship. The UID cards will be issued free of cost.
Sadawat Consultancy is likely to start block level and area level camps for the purpose of issue of UID cards. People interested in enrolling for Aadhaar Card have to submit required documents and certificates to the concerned authorities at the time of submission. You may ned to provide Electoral Photo Identity Card (EPIC), Ration Card or Date of Birth certificate. The Govt. of Rajasthan is also thinking of starting online application facility in order to speed up the issue of Aadhaar UID Cards.
