Annadata Sukhibhava Complaints – Account Update and Aadhaar Problems

Much ambitious scheme of Government of AP, Annadatha Sukhibhava is facing several problems in practice. The implementation of the scheme is facing hurdles in the form of non-update of bank accounts of farmers and non-cooperation of revenue officials to update the farmers list. The scheme is aimed at providing financial assistance to all the eligible farmers in the state of AP.

No Redressal Mechanism:

There are so many problems in the implementation of Annadata Sukhibhava.

1) Money is not credited into several accounts due to lapse of bank accounts and death of persons. 7.22 lakhs accounts have not received money due to several technical issues.

2) There are 9.78 lakhs farmers who have patta lands but did not update or link aadhaar and bank accounts. Only 2.55 lakhs farmers have updated their details through annadathasukhibhava.ap.gov.in .

3) MPEOs are on strike and not collecting data from farmers. Mee Seva centers are charging Rs.25 to Rs.50 to update accounts of farmers.

4) MPEOs are not able to answer the farmers queries on updating their accounts online. The officials are just informing that the money will be credited into bank accounts of farmers listed only by the Government.

5) Officials are not able to provide data of beneficiaries and the details of accounts who received Annadata Sukhibhava amount.

Rs.15000 per family

Government of AP has identified 58.67 lakhs eligible farmers under Annadata Sukhibhaa scheme. Government has deposited Rs.1000 in the first phase for 48.89 lakhs farmers. Out of these, only 41.67 lakhs farmers have received the amount.

It is also reported that several banks are deducting the amount deposited by the Government towards minimum balance in the accounts.
