The Andhra Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) has become the first such transport organisation in the country to have a Central Call Centre (CCC) with the objective of ensuring the comfortable and convenient travel of the over 1.52 crore passengers who use the 22000 buses it operates every day. The call center service would be of immense help to officials and passengers in any emergency and in everyday RTS operations. Till now, passengers did not kow whom they should approach in case of difficulty in traveling. The CCC service of APSRTC is the first 24/7 facility of its kind among all the State Road Transport Undertakings in the country. The service is outsourced to www.abhibus.com, a company that already handled the back end operations of the passenger reservation system for APSRTC.
All that passengers needed to do was to dial the mobile number 80199 – 99999 or the land line 22773377 for any type of issues related to APSRTC. To access the land-line you need to add STD code of the city from which he or she was calling. The call lands at the CCC and the caller is taken through a 5 stage IVR for general enquiry, information on reservation and cancellation, grievances, marketing schemes or to drop their suggestions or appreciation.
