The Gnana Saraswati Devasthanams, Basar (Adilabad district), Andhra Pradesh is geared up to organize Vasanta Panchami between 8th and 10th February 2011. Vasant Panchami is a three day festival celebrated across the country in connection with the birth day of Goddess Saraswati Devi. Basara is a famous divine destination which dedicated for Goddess Gnana Saraswati.
The Basant Panchami celebrations at Basara include a cultural programme featuring music renditions by famous classical and folk artistes. The programs will run throughout three festive days. The Mahabhishekam will start at 2.30 a.m.on Tuesday. This is followed by Chandi Havanam Veda Pathanam, Mahapuja, Pallaki Seva and Maha Harathi, all to be held on the same day. Famous classical and folk artists such as Eemani Kalyani, K. Ramachary, Dr. Yella Venkateswara Rao and S. Prabhakar are scheduled to perform on the occasion.
