The Government of India has released a new version of BHIM app which is called as BHIM 1.1. The new version Bharat Interface for Money or BHIM 1.1 was launched by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). The updated version was released considering the issues on security features. Users can download BHIM 1.1 version from Google Play Store.
The BHIM 1.1 version also has new features and more usable compared to the previous version. BHIM app was launched last Friday by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to promote digital transactions using the Unified Payments Interface (UPI).
BHIM is an app to promote bank-to-bank fund transfer system backed by the Internet and smartphones, using phone numbers linked to banks. The issued were found in the form of spam payment requests.
NPCI is likely to allow the users to report spam and also will start supporting other regional languages soon. The corporation has also warned the users not to accept any unknown payment requests on the BHIM app.
More banks have been added in updated version of BHIM app. The app is now linked to 35 private and public sector banks such as State Bank of India, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, IDBI Bank, Union Bank of India and Kotak Mahindra Bank. Apart from these, UCO Bank , Bank of India,YES Bank and TJSB Bank are the latest banks to be integrated with the app.
