The Government of Telangana has made arrangements to receive calls from the public on the corruption issues. The CMO (Chief Ministers Office) has set up a separate phone line with number 040 – 23454071 for the convenience of the general public to complain on the corrupt officials and government servants.
The Government has set up as many as 30 lines with this number. The Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) himself has announced the phone number 040 – 23454071 in his recent tour to Warangal. It is estimated about 2534 people called the number to tell their problems.
With the unexpected response from the public, the Government has set up additional 30 lines to the same number. The Government is also planning to open an email for the complaints regarding corruption.
The Chief Minister, KCR has asked the officials to prepare detailed reports for all the departments based on the phone calls received to the said number. He also ordered to set up separate machinery to redress the grievances of the people received to the number 040 – 23454071.
