Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has launched a facility to get annual PF details online by the subscribers. The EPFO has enabled the facility for its over 5 crore subscribers. The EPFO subscribers can get their updated accounts online on real time basis. They need not wait for the PF account slips till the end of the year.
Following is the step by step procedure to get PF details online. You will get the SMS with the PF details after the completion of the procedure. Here are the simple steps to follow:
Step 1: Keep your EPFO account number with you. The number is also mentioned on your salary slip.
Step 2: Log on to EPFO website. Click the link ‘Check Your EPF balance’ given on the EPFO website, http://www.epfindia.gov.in/ . Check your PF balance online.
Step 3: Now, you need to select the state where your PF office is situated.
Step 4: Select the appropriate EPFO regional office. The number has to be entered in a proper way. The first two letters stand for regional office. For instance, if the your PF number is AP/67894/1234 then choose AP as your regional office code.
Step 5: Fill the online form with your name (should be same as it appears on salary slip), your mobile number and your PF number. After entering all the numbers as given you will receive an SMS within five minutes. The SMS will contain your PF account balance. The account balance will be upto 31st March 2012.
