The Congress high command is slowly concentrating on the party affairs in Seemandhra region in the aftermath of bifurcation. The first priority for the Congress is to appoint an efficient PCC president.
It is almost certain that Botsa Satyanarayan will be shown the door immediately after the official notification of bifurcation. The Congress seems to be relying on the image of Chiranjeevi to revive the party in Seemandhra region.
Chiranjeevi will be the front runner for the PCC top post given his social background and mass appeal. The Congress has been trying to consolidate the Kapu voters in its favour. Appointing Chiranjeevi as PCC chief may fulfill this strategy to some extent, as felt by party sources.
