Andhra Pradesh Government has announced Free Borewell Drilling Scheme for poor farmers in the state. The scheme is part of YSR Rythu Bharosa scheme and Navaratnalu.Following are more details like eligibility and application procedure:
Eligibility for Free Borewell Scheme:
Farmers with 5 acres or less than that are eligible for free borewell scheme. They should not have existing bore well / tube well / open well. The area of land should be minimum 2.5 acres to apply for free borewell scheme. Single or a group of farmers also can apply.

Application Procedure:
Farmers can apply through grama sachivalayams or online along with copy of pattadar passbook and aadhaar card. VRO will verify the application and process it for MPDO for further verification.
Selection of beneficiaries:
Selected beneficiaries will be informed through grama sachivalayams. Drilling of bore well will be taken up by the teams concerned after selection of beneficiaries. Panchayat Raj and Rural Development department will act as nodal agency for the entire implementation of the scheme.
