Touring Ongole yesterday, union Minister Jairam Ramesh told that the decision on the new capital city for Seemandhra / Andhra Pradesh will be announced in the coming September 2014. Consequently, he opened the space for wild guessing on the probable capital city which could be good for real estate business in AP.
The Congress party may also try to gain election benefits on the issue of capital city for Seemandhra. It is strategically leaking the names of several towns across the state of Andhra Pradesh.
The names of cities and towns already came out through various news media are Ongole, Guntur – Vijayawada, Tirupati, Kurnool, Eluru, Macherla, Nellore, Amaravathi, Donakonda etc. The prices of residential land and flats in many of these areas are already out of the reach of common man. There is also a strong opinion that the boom is abnormal and getting ready to burst once the capital name is announced.
