Union Public Service Commission announced special recruitment notification for the fill up of Junior Works Managers (Mechanical and Chemical) in Ordnance Factory Board. There are 68 vacancies in Mechanical and 21 posts in Chemical branches. Both these posts are regular and belong to Civilian Defense Services. Pay scale is Rs. Rs.9300-34800+ Rs.4600 Grade pay. Age should be between 21 – 30 years. Selected candidates will be in probation for two years. Candidates have to apply in the prescribed format published in Employment News and major dailies along with notification / special advertisement no. 52/2010.
Eligibility Requirements: For JWM – Mechanical: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University. Selection will be made based on performance in Written test and Interview. The written test will be conducted on 09-01-2011. Written test will be in Objective multiple choice type and carry 100 marks. Duration of the test is 2 hours. There will be no negative marks. Questions will be mainly from these topics: Thermodynamics, Production Technology, Statics and Dynamics, Heat Transfer, Machine Design, Mechanics of Solids, Kinematics and Dynamics of Machines, Metrology, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Science including machine Tools, Material Science, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
For JWM – Chemical: Applicants should have M.Sc in Chemistry or Degree in Chemical Engineering/ Technology. Selection procedure and scheme of written test will be same as mentioned above for Mechanical posts. The standard of questions will at B.E./ B.Tech. level. Questions will be from these topics: Materials of Construction, Fundamentals of Science, Heat Transfer, Nuclear Power Engineering, Periodical Classification of Elements, Chemical Bonding, Structure and Properties of Solids, Process Control and Instrumentation, Carbon and Carbon Compounds, Non-metals, Chemical Process Industries, Petroleum Refining Engineering, Chemical Reaction Engineering, Mass Transfer, Chemical Engineering Thermodynamics, Process Equipment Design, Fuels and Combustion, Furnace Technology, Polymers and Corrosion.
