Mekatoti Sucharitha is Home Minister of Andhra Pradesh. She is inducted into the new cabinet by Chief Minister of AP, Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy. Sucharitha won from Prathipadu Assembly Constituency (SC) in Guntur district.
Political Profile:
Mekatoti Sucharitha won for the first time to Assemly in 2009 elections. She won that election from Congress Party by defeating Kandukuri Veeraiah of TDP.

In 2014, Sucharitha contested from Prathipadu on the YSRCP ticket. She lost that election to Ravela Kishore Babu of TDP with a marjin of 7405 votes.
In 2019 Assembly elections, Sucharitha defeated TDP candidate Varupula Raja. YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has selected her for the minister post and allocated Home Ministry.
