Nandigama MLA Tangirala Prabhakara Rao has died of heart attack on 15th June 2014. He was elected from Nandigama Assembly Constituency in 2014 elections. He is representing Telugu Desam Party (TDP).
Nandigama is a reserved Assembly Constituency. Thangirala Prabhakar Rao earlier served as MPTC and ZPTC member. He won the 2009 elections also from Nandigama Constituency.
In 2014 elections, Tangirala defeated Mekathoti Jaganmohan Rao of YSR Congress Party with a margin of 5400 votes. He is known to be close to Devineni Venkata Ramana and Devineni Umameheswara Rao.
Thangirala is yet to take oath as MLA in the AP Assembly. The incident took place in the late hours of 15th June 2014. He was declared dead at 11-45 pm in a local hospital at Nandigama.
