Another two districts are joining to the existing 31 districts in Telangana State. With this, total districts tally reaches to 33. If you add these two numbers, 3+3 = 6 and this appears to be a lucky number of Chief Minister, K Chandra Sekhar Rao. Whatever it may be, it should be a good news for people of Narayanapeta and Mulugu.
Narayanapet and Mulugu:
Chief Minister has announced Narayanpet and Mulugu as new districts to be carved out soon. The number of Revenue divisions also reaches to 70 with the addition of Korutla as new revenue division. Total number of mandals will be 444 with the addition of 6 new mandals.
Mulugu as Sammakka Saralamma District:
Telangana Government is considering Mulugu district to be named as Sammakka Saralamma district. There has been demand for Mulugu district for quite some time.
New district will be carved out with new borders and gazette notification will be issued within a fortnight. New districts, revenue divisions and mandals may come into force before Panchayat elections in January / February 2019.
