Here is a good news for the owners of flats and houses in cities and towns of Andhra Pradesh. The Government is proposed to announce another round of BPS (Building Penalisation Scheme) to regularise the unauthorised and deviated structures and buildings in the state. The GO with all the details will be issued soon by the department of Municipal Administration. The new BPS will be rolled out in 2018.
Constructions before 31 August 2018:
The deadline for the consideration of buildings under new BPS scheme will be 31 August 2018. Guidelines are being framed regarding penalty and application process.

2015 BPS Pending Applications:
Government of AP has previously announced BPS in 2015. It has received 74748 applications and out of them 6907 are still in pending at various stages. 4815 BPS applications were rejected by the Government due to lack proper documentation etc. You can check the status of your previous BPS application at bps.ap.gov.in .
Concession to old buildings:
Govt of AP is proposed to give concession in penalty for old buildings constructed 20-25 years back. It is observed that only owners of new buildings are applying for BPS for many years. Old building owners also will apply for BPS if some concession in penalty is offered.
