The much talked proposed merger of TRS with Congress has lost its sheen when leaders from both camps unleashed the war of words. Now the merger is almost ruled out but pre poll or post poll alliance seems to be the possibility.

The Congress high command seems to be preparing to go alone for Lok Sabha and Assembly Elections 2014. The party may also be resorting to pressure politics on TRS to limit the seat sharing if alliance is possible at all.
On the other hand, TRS is also sending alliance signals to BJP to exert pressure on the Congress and concede as many Assembly seats as possible. Let us see who will succumb.
