Say goodbye to procedural delays in marriage registrations thanks to the new initiative of the Government of Andhra Pradesh. The Government is planning to make marriage registrations completely online soon. This will be a huge relief for those want to get the marriage registrations done on increased pace. The online procedure will be easy and convenient. The Department of Stamps and Registrations has decided to introduce the new facility by the end of May 2012. The proposed online marriage registrations system will do away with the need of applicants visiting sub-registrar offices and submit their respective application forms. Those like to get their matrimony registered can visit the official website of the department of stamps and registrations and should fill in all the details to get the marriage certificate.
Applicants should fill all the mandatory details online. They should also upload photographs. After that the sub registrar office will allot a time slot regarding their visit to the office. The applicants can see the Registrar office as per the schedule, sign the register and get the certificate. In order to avoid any kind of future misgivings, the department is making physical appearance by the bride and the groom mandatory. They should appear before the sub-registrar concerned for receiving the certificate. There will be no exemptions on this aspect. This will be another web initiative of the Government after facilitating Aadhaar Enrollments and Voter ID Card registrations online.
So, a single visit to the Sub Registrar office is enough to get the marriage certificate. The relevant software is already under trial run and the facility is likely to be available in the Hyderabad city in two months time. Those setting up firms or establishing societies can also get their registrations done online without repeatedly visiting sub-registrar offices. The department of stamps and registrations will soon upload entire data and old records of societies and will put on the web for the use of people.
