Power star Pawan Kalyan and ruling TDP are on clash mode over the use of land acquisition act in Andhra Pradesh. The Chandrababu Naidu government is keen on completing the target of land pooling in one way or the other, Pawan Kalyan is trying to negotiate with the power structure using the issue.
The TDP’s envoys Narayana and Prattipati Pullarao are touring the proposed land acquisition areas to gather support of farmers. While Pawan Kalyan is in the villages assuming the farmers to stand by them during the crisis.
Though the immediate political calculations of Pawan Kalyan are not known, his histrionics on the agriculture, farmers, self styled warnings to the government are encouraging and also entertaining to some extent.
The government is likely to go adamant over the issue if necessary and may not succumb to the pressure of Pawan Kalyan. The cautious use of land acquisition act is an indication of government’s intention to implement its plans in a phased and negotiable manner.
