PM – KISAN first phase will be launched on 24th February 2019 across the country. An amount of Rs.2000 will be deposited into the bank accounts of eligible farmers in the first phase. About 10 lakhs farmers will be benefited in the first round of the scheme.
PM – KISAN First Phase:
Details of Pradhan Manthri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM – KISAN) will be uploaded on the official portal of PM – KISAN. The farmers data will be uploaded by the Central Government as soon as they receive it from the states.
PM KISAN is applicable for all the farmers who have less than 5 acres of land. Rs.2000 will be credited into the bank accounts of farmers. Government has allocated Rs.200 crore for this scheme in the first phase.
Income tax payers also not eligible under PM – KISAN scheme. The data will be scrutinised with IT department and then finally uploaded by the state governments.
Affidavit by farmers:
Farmers have to submit an affidavit stating that he / she is not paying income tax. Agricultural Extension Officers have to issue certificate in this regard at the village level.
PM KISAN Second Phase:
The second phase of PM KISAN scheme will be launched in April 2019. The Government is launching the first phase before the issue of election notification so that there would not be any election code issues for the implementation of second phase of the scheme.
