Polling across 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh / Seemandhra is going on with incidents of clashes and violence at several places. There appears to be a large scale rigging in several polling stations in Rayalaseema, particularly Kadapa and Nellore districts.
TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu wrote to DGP and State Election Commissioner to take stringent action on the instigators of violence. It is reported by the media that there are several incidents of attack on police personnel, election staff and media crew.
Attacks on police personnel were reported in Kadapa, Nellore and Guntur districts. In Jammalamadugu mandal of Kadapa district, ASP as attacked by YSRCP candidates resulting in deployment of huge police force.
Keeping aside these incidents, there is going to be a record polling in Seemandhra region. The initial estimates are indicating that there will be around 80 percent polling in Andhra Pradesh.
