There is so much online campaign on Pradhan Mantri Scooty Yojana (PMSY). It is rumoured that the women will get free scooty under this scheme. It is widely publicised on social media asking the women to apply through sarkari yojana website for PM Scooty Yojana scheme. Here are the details of how it all started.
Fake Scheme:
Government of India and several State Governments have clarified that they have not launched any scheme for women with the name Pradhan Mantri Scooty Yojana (PMSY). There is no provision for that in any department of Government of India.

How it all started?
Tamil Nadu Government has launched Amma Scooty Scheme some time back and it has invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the launch of the scheme. It is misunderstood as central scheme and campaigned on social media. Tamil Nadu Government has launched this scheme for working women in the state. Fake Photos of Scheme:
Several websites and you tube channels have also mentioned age criteria and educational qualifications to be eligible for this scheme. Several photographs were also posted as PM distributing scooties to women beneficiaries. But the photos are taken from Tamil Nadu Scheme.
Don’t Apply or Give Money:
It is observed several people are going to Mee Seva / E-Seva Centers across country to apply for this fake PM Scooty Scheme. The net centers are charging money from the gullible people. It is advised to the general public not to believe in the fake news and applications related to PM Scooty Yojana scheme.
