Kodali Nani is a 4th time MLA from Gudivada though from different parties. He won from the constituency in 2004, 2009, 2014 and 2019 assembly elections.
Kodali Nani won on TDP ticket in 2004 and 2009 elections. He left TDP in 2012 on the grounds of internal issues and joined in YSRCP. He contested and won from YSRCP in 2014 and 2019 elections. His rival in 2019 elections, Devinani Avinash has also joined in YSRCP. Kodali Nani is known as staunch follower of Junior NTR.
