Geetha Viswanath was born on 01st Marck 1964 in Kakinada, East Godavari, Andhra Pradesh to Shri P.V.S. Prakash Rao and Smt. P. Bramaramba. She attended school in Andhra pradesh, and completed her dual masters degree, M.A in Politics and Public Administration and M.Sc in Psychology. She also completed Master of Law and is a practising advocate. She received education at Extension Centre Andhra University, Madras University, (Kakinada) and Nagpur University. She Married Shri Vanga Kasi Viswanath on 31 st May 1983 in her home town and have a daughter.
Political Career:
Before being elected at the 17 th Lok Sabha elections, Geetha held many prestigious positions. She was the Chairperson at Zilla Parishad in East Godavari, Andhra Pradesh from 1995 to 2000. She was also a member several Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha committees.
Experience in TDP:
Vanga Geetha was a member of the Telugu Desam Party in 1993 and served as Vice-President at the State Telugu Desam Party in 1997. She is also active in social service through Viswageethika Foundation.
