Ganta Srinivasarao is a very dynamic politician in Visakhapatnam district of Andhra Pradesh. He is representing the Congress Party from Anakapalle Assembly Constituency, after his parent party PRP was merged with the Congress. He won 2004 Assembly elections from Chodavaram Constituency on TDP ticket. Later he changed his loyalties to Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) and contested from Anakapalle Assembly segment during 2009 Assembly elections. Ganta Srinivasarao was born on 1st December 1960 in Prakasam district. His father’s name is Sri China Rosaiah and he belongs to general category. His permanent address is at 1-84-16/1, Sector-4, M.V.P.Colony, Visakhapatnam Town, Andhra Pradesh. He studied B.Com., B.L. and joined in politics. He was elected twice as an MLA and once as an MP from various constituencies in visakhapatnam district. He was married to Smt. Sarada and have one son and one daughter.
Ganta Srinivasa Rao was initially an ardent lover of Telugu Desam Party. He was contested from Anakapalle Parliamentary Constituency in 1999 and won the seat. Later has contested from Chodavaram Assembly Constituency in 2004 elections. Impressed with PRP and its President Chiranjeevi, he joined in PRP before 2009 Assembly elections. He contested from Anakapalle Assembly segment in 2009 elections and defeated Konatala Ramakrishna of the Congress Party. Ganta Srinivasa Rao is a most probable candidate from PRP to join the state cabinet which is scheduled for expansion within a few months.
On the other side, Anakapalle constituency was represented four times by Dadi Veerabhadra Rao of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). He won from the constituency during 1985, 1989, 1994 and 1999 Assembly elections. Ganta Srinivasa Rao is known to be a close confident of mega star Chiranjeevi. This is making him a strong contender for the cabinet berth from PRP MLAs.
