Dr. Jaya Prakash Narayan is a former bureaucrat and social activist. He has floated Lok Satta Party (LSP) and started branches across the country along with Andhra Pradesh. Jaya Prakash Narayan is known for his articulate skills and speeches on various social, economic and political issues. He has been advocating for reforms in the constitutional bodies and procedures such as elections, judiciary, local bodies, empowerment etc. Presently he is representing as an MLA from Kukatpally Assembly Constituency of Hyderabad district in Andhra Pradesh. Jaya Prakash Narayan, more popular as JP hails form Krishna district. He was elected to AP Assembly for the first time in 2009 elections. He was born on 1st January 1953. He studied MBBS and was a medical practitioner before selected as IAS officer. He served in various public positions including District Collector in Andhra Pradesh. He was a personal secretary to TDP founder NT Rama Rao. Jaya Prakash Narayan was married to Mrs Radha and they have a son and a daughter.
Jaya Prakash Narayan’s Lok Satta was initially a social and non – governmental organization. It has emerged as a political party in 2006 and contested in 2009 Assembly Elections. The party has failed to create any impact in that elections. Only Jaya Prakash Narayan managed to win from Kukatpally Constituency.
