Hanmanth Shinde is an MLA of Telugu Desam Party from Jukkal Assembly Constituency in Nizamabad district of Andhra Pradesh. TDP has five MLAs in the Nizamabad district out of total 9 constituencies. Hanmanth Shinde is the son of Madhappa and aged 40+ years. His permanent address is at H.No 2-25 Dongaon, Jukkal, Nizamabad district. He studied B.E. in Osmania University during 1984-1988.
Hanmanth Shinde of TDP has surprised all in 2010 by announcing his sudden resignation to the Legislative Assembly membership. There were perceived differences between him and officials over developmental activities in the Jukkal Constituency. Jukkal is a ST reserved constituency and Shinde is the first MLA to be elected from this newly formed Assembly segment.
There were reports earlier that Hanmanth Shinde will be joining TRS. But later it was confirmed that Shinde remain associated with the TDP. Jukkal was part of Nanded district in Maharashtra before it was merged with Andhra Pradesh after Independence. Shinde is likely to be contested from Jukkal on the TDP ticket in the coming 2014 Assembly elections.
