Komatireddy Venkat Reddy is a congress MLA from Nalgonda Assembly Constituency of Andhra Pradesh. He won 3 terms as an MLA. Komatireddy Venkatreddy is a staunch follower of late Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy. He served as minister for Information Technology in YSR’s cabiet and continued with the same portfolio during Rosaiah’s period. Venkata Raddy was allocated portfolio of Investments and Infrastructure in the shuffling of cabinet by N. Kiran Kumar Reddy. Dejected with the allocation of insignificant ministry, Komatireddy uttered resignation, stayed away from taking responsibilities for a while and pronounced Pro-YSR, Pro – Jagan statements on two or three public occasions.
Komatireddy has been perceived as Pro- YSR / Jagan group in the cabinet of Kiran Kumar Reddy. He has been strongly raising objections to anti-YSR comments made by his colleagues in the cabinet and also Congress party leaders.
